Outstanding Chiller!
I've been using a coiled wort chiller for some time and even with my pump set up running iced water thru it the chill down time was still over 15 minutes. The first time using the Therminator and the iced water arrangement I ran 10 gallons thru, monitoring the output for good pitching temp with the Blichmann Thrumometer, in less than 5 minutes! Recommend you reverse flush it out immediately and maybe stop to shake it periodically while flushing as any grain particles seem to find any little interior corner to hide in and the sloshing helps dislodge them. Other than that, one of the best items I've used so far. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Works like a charm!
Have used this for 5 brews to date and I am very impressed - 5 gallon batches at near boiling temp cooled to ~65F in less than 5 mins. And my set up involves just gravity feed at the moment. If you're using a plate chiller for the first time (as I was when I bought this), you need to be aware of a couple of important additional purchases (at least this is what I needed for my setup): 1. A female to female garden hose adapter/connector for the "water in" port on the chiller - you may not need this depending on the type of threading/connects on your water faucet and hose; 2. A back flush hose attachment for cleaning out the wort side of the chiller which I use IMMEDIATELY after running wort through the chiller to prevent any sticky wort/debris from getting stuck inside the unit. In fact, I use hot water from my kitchen faucet for back flushing. 3. Female NPT connects for the wort-in and wort-out side of the chiller. 4. High temp tubing to bring hot wort from your kettle to the chiller; obviously, you also need tubing to get cooled wort from chiller to your fermenter. 5. Hose clamps to provide a tight seal between the hoses and NPT to barb connects (this is what I use anyway) - I highly recommend butterfly hose clamps for this job. Finally, I suggest you do a trial run with plain hot water from a brew kettle before using the unit on an actual brew - it's amazing what you'll learn about how and where to set up your all your equipment prior to your brew day using this chiller.

Chills wort quickly
I've just been ramping up from 5 to 10 gallon batches, so have just replaced my copper immersion chiller with the Therminator and a pump. For a 5-gallon batch, the cooling was much quicker -- down from 15 mins to about 5. I'm eager to try the Therminator with a 10-gal wort but am sure that it'll also be much faster. One mistake I made initially was not buying the proper disconnects and hoses when I purchased the Therminator, so I had wait a couple weeks to try it out while I hunted down 1/2 inch high-temp tubing with the right hardware. But now it works great.
