Great product great deal!
Bought these about 2 months ago and have used in 4 different beers. And used the last of it in a SMaSH Citra and the beer was amazing. One of the best beers I've made and these hops really made it. Don't worry about the packaging just vacuum seal and freeze.

Love this hop
This is one of my favorite hop varietals, it can be used for everything. Yes, they don't come vacuum sealed, but there are plenty of commercial breweries that simply fold up the bag, tape it closed and toss it in the walkin. They'll last a very long time this way, especially if you use them for aroma/flavor. And to get them for this cheap is awesome!

Citra hop
Purchased on Black Friday for excellent price and repacked upon delivery. Used first 6 oz in a Zombie clone recipe that came out great.

Citra Hops
I love using Citra as a dry hop in my IPA. The aroma is dynamite. I'm also used to buying my hops from Puterbaugh Farms where a pound is frequently 20 ounces so I was disappointed that these "one pound" packages were actually a little less than a pound. My other concern is that these hops were apparently purchased in bulk then repackaged in one pound units and were not nitrogen flushed nor vacuum packed. I have no way of knowing how long they were stored in this condition.

They do not come vaccum seal the bags
They are not vacuum sealed. There is no way to know whether or not oxygen is in the bag. I vacuum seal them when I got them and they smelled good. For me I won't order hops from here again.

Beware
First, beware that these are repackaged hops in just a sealed plastic bag. They are NOT in the assumed nitrogen flushed, UV protected bag from the manufacturer. So, unless you plan on repackaging them immediately you may want to reconsider as the bag will not protect against freezer burn or light. Also, according to my calibrated scale, I only received 15.4oz. .6oz short is quiet a bit IMO. The hops themselves did smell fresh when I repackaged them to keep them fresh. AIH note: We apologize for any miscommunication. We purchase 44 LB bags and move hundreds of them at the sales price you purchased at. they are as fresh as possible. If you do prefer the Nitro Packed hops, we will gladly order these for you. Unfortunately, they will not be at the discounted price of the bulk packs we put on sale.
