Cooler Mash Tuns

Why do we use brass in our cooler mash tun systems? We find the brass seals better on the plastic. In the past we have tried stainless steel but had issues with leaking. We looked at having our cooler fitting made in SS and it is cost prohibitive. If you prefer SS, please look at our SS mash tuns.
