Works as expected

I bought this barb to connect to my 10G Bayou Classic brew kettle, which included a ball valve, but no spout. This threads in nicely and acts as a nice smooth surface for the wort to flow out of. I would recommend this.

5/8 fitting better for 1/2 ID silicone tubing

I used the 5/8" barb rather than the 1/2" barb for 1/2" ID high temp silicone tubing. It makes a tighter fit and is less likely to leak. I had to use clamps to keep the tubing from leaking when using 1/2" barbs. No clamps needed for most situations with the 5/8" barb.
