Q: Why does this kit come with both a primary fermenting bucket and a carboy? Don't you use one or the other?
Asked by: - 1/3/2014
A: In this kit the bucket is primary, the 5 gallon carboy is intended for secondary. We do not recommend using a 5 gallon carboy for primary. If you want to use a carboy for primary, we advise using a 6.5 gallon carboy.
