Q: What kind of setup do I need with this 10 Gallon 2 Weld Volume Marked Brew Pot to add a thermometer to the top outlet?
A: any thermometer that has a 1/2" NPT male thread would work in that port. Our item ID 234-1234 would work well, as a comparison in this case

Q: is this pot stainless steel?
A: This kettle is 304 stainless steel
Q: Can you use brew pot for fermenting too?
A: The kettles could potentially be used for fermenting along with boiling and brewing
Q: What size false bottom do you recommend for this kettle? Thanks
A: we, unfortunately, do not have a matching false bottom to pair with this model of the kettle at this time
Q: Is this pot large enough to brew a 10 gal. batch, or just for more elbow room brewing smaller batches?
A: The kettles complete volume is 10-gallon so it would work for doing partial boil extract 10-gallon batches and 5 gallons all grain recipes. If brewing an all grain 10-gallon batch, a kettle able to accommodate about 12 gallons or so to allow for boil off would be best
Q: Is the bottom tri-clad?
A: the kettles would have a single walled bottom and are not triclad
Q: Do I need a dip tube for the inside of the pot? Which dip tube would work best?
A: The coupling is close enough to the bottom that a dip tube would not be required be can be added using item similar to 35-4321
Q: Are there threads on the inside of the bottom fitting to attach a bazooka screen?
A: the coupling would be full thread so it can accommodate a 1/2" NPT male thread on the inside of the kettle as well
Q: Do you know when these will be back in stock?
A: unfortunately these are currently back ordered from the currently supplier without a set return ETA to provide at this time(Nov 2018)
Q: Do I need to buy any other fittings in order to attach a thermometer? Thank you.
A: if purchasing a thermometer with a 1/2" NPt thread this will fit right into the opening on the kettle with Teflon tape and no other fittings wil be needed
Q: Are these stainless steel?
A: These are made of 304 stainless steel
Q: Are the weldolets on the pot for a 1/2" ID or 1/2 OD pipe?
A: The coupling is 1/2" female NPT so the pipe thread that woudl fit to match is 1/2" Male NPT
Q: Would a 44qt Bayou Classic Stainless basket fit in this kettle?
A: The depth would be fine but the diameter fo the kettle opening is a bit too narrow for the basket to clear
Q: Is the top coupling a full or half coupling?
A: Both couplings would be full couplings
Q: Are these suitable for single high output jet burners? Is the bottom to thin for these type burners?
A: Theb urneres are singled walled but should have the apropriate thcikness to be used on a jet burner
Q: Is this suitable for an electric BIAB setup? Would you guys knock out additional holes for weldless fittings?

Q: Any update on when these kettles will be available again?

Q: When will this item be available again?
A: We source these from a vendor that will not have them available to us again until spring. Once they are back in stock or we have found a suitable substitute to list, they will be back for sale on the site.
