Q: Would this thread directly onto 1/2"npt bulkhead against my locknut? How much free thread would I need after locknut to use this and form a seal and would I use thread sealer?
A: The thread would mate with a 1/2" Male NPT thread from a bulkhead and would only need a few turns to compress a gasket and washer for the internal part of the bulkhead- thread teflon tape can be used but would avoid using liquid locktite on the threads if possible
Q: Does the compression fittings you sell have the ferrules included? Your price is so good I have to ask. LOL.
A: yes, the fitting does include the compression ferrules
Q: What is the pressure rating of this fitting?
A: We dont have exact data specs on the part, but most 304 stainless fittnigs have a burst pressre Vacuum to 400 bar.
Q: I ordered the 99-2657 Stainless Steel Dip Tube for Kettle & I opted for the additionally SS 1/2" x 1/2" (92-4107). Unfortunately, I installed it backwards & therefore need to order a replacement compression fitting. Can you confirm this is the correct replacement part for 92-4107?
A: If your kettle has a standard 1/2" female coupling, you are looking for item # 73-3338.
Q: How do the compression pieces fit in the nut? I took it off and wasn't paying attention
A: The larger compression sleeve should be closest to the compression threads, with the narrow portion towards the body of the fitting. The smaller piece should go on after that, with the narrower portion towards the body of the fitting on top of the larger piece. The flat end of the smaller compression piece should press up again the nut when you tighten.
