Q: where are these glass bottles made, what country , state
A: The bottles are currently made int he US but do not list a state where they are produced
Q: Will the openings in these bottles allow U.S. Quarters to go in the bottle? We want to use these bottles to store coins and want to make sure quarters will fit through the opening. Thanks
A: The opening would be 38mm to confirm the opening would match the coins your looking to use in the jugs
Q: Where are these jars made?
A: These are produced in the US by Arkansas glass
Q: do you offer the ability to create and apply labels to the bottles?
A: Labels can be prucahses seperately unter the winemaking tab on the homepage, under wine bottle labels, We have some pre printed labels alogn with customizeable labels you can set up to ship along with the order for the growlers as well
Q: Can you bottle final wine for storage at end of fermenting?
A: the screw top design is not normally reccomended as it is liquid tight but is not completely air tight and will eventually allow the wine to oxidize much faster over time.
A: Typically Growlers will not be air proof and thus a bad storage method for alcoholic beverages including wine, they are meant more for short term storage.
Q: do the half gallon glass growler jugs come with caps>? where are you shipping from?
A: The growlers do not ship with caps but 28mm caps can be added to the order as a separate item. We are located and ship from South Eastern Michigan
Q: Can you use these for secondary fermentation of wine?
If so, which airlock would you recommend?
A: You can. the twin S airlocks would work well for secondary fermenting and a # 6.5 bung would fit the top to work as a closure for the bottle
A: Any of our glass jugs will be suitable for primary or secondary fermentation. We suggest using a 38mm Screw Cap with hole (Item 24-4344) for using an airlock. Either a 3-piece or s shaped airlock will work for this. Thanks for the question!
Q: I'll be using these to brew mead, what size rubber stopper do they require?
Q: do these bottles come with tops????
A: Caps are not included int he cost but can be added for an additional charge
Q: Can you bottle your homebrew in growlers?
A: If carbonating, I do not recommend.
