Q: As a rule of thumb is one bottle or preferred Bottle for Honey Mead ? This is my first attempt! May end up as a good Sink Cleaner ! Thanks
A: Corked bottles or bottles with a screw on top are better for uncarbonated. For carbonated mead, you will want to use the flip top bottles or those that can be capped like beer bottles.
Q: What size bung should I use for this bottle if I want to ferment in it?
A: You would use a 6.5# bung for this bottle.
Q: Have you had any issues reported with bottle conditioning in these?
A: We do not recommend bottle conditioning in growlers. The glass is generally thinner then normal beer bottles and the caps are not meant for sealing and keeping carbonation over a long period of time.
