Q: Is this a weldless option I could use on my Keggle? Just drilling the right dimension hole then attaching this on both sides?

A: You need to start off by drilling a hole and attaching a weldless bulkhead. (99-3355)

Q: Is a nipple and bulkhead the same thing? I'm buying a ball valve and need the parts to assemble it to my kettle. Will your SS ball valve with the SS bulkhead that is on sale work together?

A: Thanks for the question! A nipple and a bulkhead are different. The bulkhead, 73-RLBULKHK, already has the portion on it that you will affix the ball valve to, you will not need to add a nipple. Yes, that ball valve will fit on this bulkhead!

Q: The one review of this ball valve mentioned it is not entirely stainless. Can you confirm whether or not it is completely stainless 304? I know sometimes there can be residual metallic fibers from the manufacturing process that can lead to rust and not necessarily the product itself... Also are the handles always black or is that supplier dependent? Thanks much. Cheers!

A: The bolts running through the body holding the unit together, as well as the stem which connects to the handle are chrome plated brass. The body of the ball valve is all 304 stainless. These are the same ball valves in which high end brew pot companies use for their products. We have only received one complaint out of hundreds sold, these are great valves at a great price. These do have black handles, but blue is fairly common as well.

Q: The description says they have locking sleeves but the photo does not show locks. I'm looking for a 3 piece ball 1/2" ball valve WITHOUT those annoying locks. So which is it, does it have the handle locks or not?

A: The 3 piece ball valves we have in stock now do not have the locking sleeves. This changes depending on which vendor we received a particular batch from.

A: Yes, the close nipple would span the cooler wall, and you can use a combination of washers, o-rings, and lock nuts to seal the inside. Another option would be to purchase one of our cooler fittings.
