A: It is quite low. Just a few inches from the bottom of the pot.
Q: What grade of stainless steel is this made from?

A: yes, the kettle is 18 gauge 304 stainless steel

A: These are currently unvailable at the vendor level but we hope to have this kettle or a similar product listed by early summer but do not have a definate date of return at this time
Q: Should this pot be conditioned in anyway before boiling its first wort?
A: The pot would just need a quick rinse or cleaning but should be ready to use out of the box
Q: Do you sell and false bottom for this pot?
A: At this time we do not currently manufacture a false bottom with the proper dimensions for this kettle
Q: Is there an option to have an electric element screw in fitting welded to the pot and if so, how much would that cost?
A: Custom welds can be added to the kettle. If using a fitting other than a 1/2" NPT femle to female connection the end user would need to supply us with the fitting to use for the modification,. Pricing is basedo n placement of the weld and work to be done. an E-mail can be sent to email@example.com with the request, fitting size to use, and placement ont he kttle and we can gather a quote from our fabricator for the wrok. typical turn aroudn time is 3-4 weeks on custom requests

Q: Are the calibration markings (gallons) from the bottom of the pot or the bottom of the exit fitting?
A: The gallon measurements are from the bottom of the pot.
Q: How much would it cost to custom weld additional couplers into this pot?
A: This would be $40 per weld, and would need a lead time of probably 3-4 weeks.
Q: Does this pot have graduated markings? Is it marked for gallons etc.
A: This is a graduated brew pot and is marked for gallons.
