Q: When will the two and a half gallon bucket with lid and spigot be available
A: These have unfortunately been discontinued by the current vendor with no return eta at this time
Q: Will a 3/4 inch spigot fit this bucket? Thanks.
A: yes this will work with a spigot like item #24-4882
Q: Is this 2.5 gallon bucket made of food grade plastic?
A: Yes, any of pur plastic fermenters are made from Food grade HDPE product
Q: Is this 2 1/2 gallons total space or is there headspace above the 2 1/2 gallon mark? I want to make 2 1/2 gallon batches of mead with these.
A: This would be total volume to the rim of the bucket
Q: The rubber gasket is hard to fit into the lid when attaching to the bucket. Can you glue it place or have an answer to solve this issue? Nice bucket but if it fails to seal, it may be an issue.
A: The gasket os only design to rest inside the lid and is not a detrimental part of theb ucket operation. The gaksets do still allow for off gassing around the edge on any plastic fermenter to limit to high of gas build up from pushign the airlock and bung or blow offf tube out of the fermenter lid. It can be adhered into place, but by design just sits or rests in the groove in the lid
Q: What are the dimensions including dimensions for top?
A: The units are 12" tall and 10" in diameter. Cheers!
Q: I just received this fermenter, what do you recommend for an airlock? The hole is slightly to big.
A: The best bung to use is a Drilled #2 stopper, item number 24-4608. From there, a standard airlock can be used. Cheers!
