Q: Is the glass heat-resistant? I have an application where I would need to boil water in the carboy. Do you know the max heat rating for the glass carboy?
A: It is not recommended to do the actual boiling of the water inside of this carboy. I do not see an issue of adding boiling water to the carboy itself, but do keep in mind the carboy and water should be close in temperature as to prevent damage to the carboy.
