Q: Will this bottle hold hot coffee?
A: This glass is not tempered like Pyrex or other lab grade glass and would not be rated for use with hot liquids
Q: Is this really 12" diameter? 3 gallon carboys around the internet seem to be 9" diameter, in general, and the 6 gallon version is only 11.5" diameter and 5" taller than this.

Q: Hi can you have a hole at the bottom end of the bottle? I plan to put the bottle on a water dispenser and refill water on it. thanks
A: It is possible to drill a hole in glass but you will need a diamond tipped drill bit and a spigot. Thanks for the question!
Q: Can this be used for my water cooler?
A: This would depend on the cooler. Most modern designs only accommodate the wider mouth plastic containers. The dimensions on the top are 1 1/8" inner diameter, and 2 1/8" outer diameter on the neck.
Q: I've sent two of these back to Amazon because they were deformed on the bottom and wobbled while on a level surface. Not acceptable for my situation. Do you or would you verify the unit does not wobble before shipping to me?
A: We have never heard of any reviews, complaints, or inquiries about these carboys wobbling or having a deformed bottom. Thanks!
Q: Is this 3 gallon glass carboy free of lead and ...?
A: Thanks for the question! All of our carboys and fermenting equipment are food safe and lead free. Cheers!
Q: Is the glass heat-resistant? I have an application where I would need to boil water in the carboy. Do you know the max heat rating for the glass carboy?
A: It is not recommended to do the actual boiling of the water inside of this carboy. I do not see an issue of adding boiling water to the carboy itself, but do keep in mind the carboy and water should be close in temperature as to prevent damage to the carboy.
