Q: On HBU packs. As I understand it, your goal is to maintain a specific alpha acid per pack, and you accomplish this by adjusting the weight of the hops based on the alpha acid of the hop you are using at the time. So, rounding numbers, if your goal is that 10 HBU is equal to 10% AA, then the pack would contain 1 oz of hops, the 5 HBU pack would contain 0.5 oz, the 3 HBU pack 0.3 oz, etc. Is this correct? If so, what is your target % AA for a 10 HBU pack? Having this info will help me create an accurate HBU pack model for Brewfather. Thanks!
A: For a 10 HBU pack we would be using 10oz of a hop with a 10%AA per ounce. The remainder of the breakdowns as you mentioned would be correct
Q: What does it mean by 4 HBU? Is the alpha acids at 4? What are the hops in this? It might take some of the guess out of it but it adds just as many questions.
