A: The lid would not have a gasket for making use of the kettle for distilling

A: we do not currently produce or have a recommendation for a false bottom for this kettle. The lack of a port for a ball valve for drainage from below a false bottom makes these kettle better suited as a boil kettle or for heating sparge water

A: these kettles are not induction ready

A: The handles are riveted on. The pot weighs 5 pounds.

A: the kettle is 5 gallons to capacity so it can work for safely boiling up to 4 gallons of wort

A: The kettle is fully 304 stainless, but would not be magnetized to use with an induction cook top

Q: Does this pot have any graduation stamped marks to indicate volume?
A: These kettels are not currently marked on the inside
Q: Can you provide this pot with a hole drilled in it so that it can be used with a stainless steel (ball) valve and a 6" bazooka?
A: A customer punch can be put into the kettle for an addtional fee of $20. This would need to be arranged with a quick phone call to the sales staff at 313-277-27-39 Ext 1
Q: Does the 5 gallon brew pot come with a valve? I gave one to a family member for Christmas, and there was not one in the box.
A: The kettle does not come with a welded port for the addition of a ball valve. This can be added to the kettle as a weldless fitting, but this would need to be done by the end user

Q: What is the inside diameter of this pot? Are the sides straight? Are the handles riveted on or spot welded?
A: I would consider the sides not straight, and the handles are tack welded. The inside diameter is 11 1/4 diameter on bottom and top is 11 3/4.
Q: Is this a flat bottom pot, compatible with flat glass cook tops?
A: These are not perfectly flat, and should not be used on induction or radiant cook tops.
