Q: Have an order in my cart with a new 3gal keg that brought the shipping to $29. If you can offer free shipping on my whole order, I will place this order. If not, I will remove the keg and purchase locally. Understand if you can't, but wanted to check what you could do about the shipping. Thanks
A: At this time orders containing new stock kegs would ship using standard rates since the item is Marked with the everyday low price tag which disqualifies it from any further promotional or shipping discounts. Otherwise any order would ship using standard rates to the postal code given for the order
Q: What are the dimensions?
A: 17" tall and 8.25" diameter.
Q: Looking to see if this can be used for cocktails and on a Linder tap system? We don't use Co2 so we would not be using this for any carbonated cocktails.
A: the fittings needed to connect a soda keg to a commercial tapping system would be a bit different but a conversion kit to be able to switch back and forth with only slight modification to the lines would be best with part #https://www.homebrewing.org/Kegerator-Homebrew-Conversion-Kit_p_720.html
Q: I have a kegorator with standard hook-up. I've started making my own beer and bottling it. I'd like to use my kegorator. Will this, or which, keg will work with standard taps? Or, is there a cross-over device that will allow this?
A: the fittings attached to the keg would be different between Sanke, or commercial kegs, and the soda style or ball lock disconnect used on this keg. A conversion kit can be purchased under item ID 99-0021 which would allow you to change back and forth between the two kegs tyles easily when changing out kegs
Q: Does the keg lid have a hang tab for dry hopping with an infuser?
A: Yes, the lid included will have a hang tab located on the underside of the lid
Q: Are the handles tall enough to stack without any chance of pressure on a quick disconnect (like the torpedo kegs provide)?
I've had co2 leaks due to stacking.
A: The kegs are not currently designed to stack with the disconnects in place at this time
Q: where can I get my 3 gallon keg filled up
A: If intending to use the keg for local craft beers and not Homebrew, you would need to check with local breweries to see if they are able to accommodate a Cornelius keg fill. We unfortunately don’t keep a nationwide list of breweries who can a comodate this
Q: How much does it weight? Shipping weight? Thanks!
A: shipped weight would be approx. 8lbs
Q: can you get this keg with the ball pin lock?
A: Unfortunately Pin lock post design is Proprietary to Coka a Cola who has not released the Patent rights to produce new kegs at this time. Pink Lock kegs and posts would only be available in used stock at this time
Q: Hi there!! Do you have kegs that have red or any other color rubber handles? I would prefer red.
A: The new stock kegs are only manufactured with Blakck handles at this time
Q: What is the anticipated date of shipment for this item?
A: current timeline(as of Oct 2018) is late November into early December for processing
I need of roughly 5 of item #310-4333 this week but I noticed that it says pre order in the description. Do you know if this item is in stock yet?
A: These are coming from overseas so we do not have a firm ETA yet. We are expecting them to arrive during the end of November.
when will this item be available?
A: The kegs do not have a current return ETA date but will be expected closer to the End of October, Early November when available
Q: When will the New 3 gallon corny keg be for sale individually?
A: the 3 gallon kegs should be available again for sale in October(2018)
Q: Just getting into home brew BEER, from wine, i have the 2.5 gallon fast fermenters, how does this 2.5 and the 3 gallon work Kegs work, what do i have to buy to make beer, and use this KEG, i assume it is pressurised some way, how is that done , what extra is needed to complete the whole beer brew , equipment and kits for 2.5 gallon
A: in addtion to the keg, a co2 source or tank is needed, a regulator for the gas pressure and tubing and disconnects to attach the gas line to the keg for carbonating and serving, and a basic picnic style tap for dispensing. Item #99-5010-E would be a kit that includes all of these, with the option to add a co2 tank if needed to the order from the drop down menu
