AIH Session IPA Recipe Kit

Session IPA? you say. We got rid of some base malt, added more Crystal malt and coupled that with late addition hops. This beer still has plenty of depth and body, without all the alcohol. At 4.6%, and 64 IBU's, with the hop schedule of an IPA, you will be hard pressed to drink just one.

Yield : 5 Gallons
Original Gravity : 1.053
Final Gravity : 1.013

Alcohol by Volume : 4.6%
IBU (anticipated, alpha acids can fluctuate) : 64.48

Specialty Grains : Crystal 10L, Crystal 60L
Hops : Motueka, Zythos, Simcoe

Great Recipe
After brewing for over 10 years, most of those being APA and IPA, it is safe to say that I know a good beer. I have come to the conclusion that session IPAs taste better, smell better and are more enjoyable to drink. This recipe falls in that category. It just works. Very fresh and floral with the right amount of IBUs.

Unbelievable
This is seriously the best SIPA I've ever had, Homebrew or otherwise! Perfect mouthfeel, perfect bitterness, real juicy! I drank 2 on bottling day without even waiting for them to bottle condition! This will be my go-to kit from now on.

Really Great beer
Made this for my wife's cousins diaper party. 10 dudes tore 5 gal up like it was nothing. They loved it. The hop flavor is perfect. The bitterness is good and the aroma and flavor from the dry hop was dead nuts. This is a beer I'll make again and highly recommend.
