Q: It didn't have any instructions in the box. How to I adjust calibration? It appears to be off by 10 plus °F

A: There is a small hex nut on the backside of the face of the thermometer. this can be turned to adjust the dial. We recommend using boiling water to adjust and calibrate the reading

Q: Wondering if this thermometer will work as a replacement on Blichmann kettles. Their replacement angled thermometer looks exactly the same as this but is double the price.

A: this would work the same as other model thermometers that use a 1/2" NPT thread into the kettle

Q: Does this thermometer come with everything necessary to install it? What is included with it?

A: The thermometer is intedned to thread directly itno an existing 1/2" NPt femal thread and would only need a strip of teflon tape to seal the threads before applying with a crecent wrecnh to the fitting

Q: Do you know if this thermometer will still function if the probe is cut shorter?

A: This thermometer cannot be cut down due to the hollow probe on this unit. We do carry the Blichmann adjustable thermometer ( Item Number 54-3315 ) which has a shorter probe.

Q: Can a 2" (or other length) probe be substituted?

A: If you are planning to use the thermometer in a 2 weld pot 9 gal 15 gal etc then yes you can use either thermometer. The 2 inch sticks out less then the 6 inch does.
