Overall, a good burner that gets the job done. The heart of the item is the 10" cast iron propane burner manifold, which other more expensive manufacturers use (or used) in their products as well. Pros: It's cast iron, not a welded multi-piece item that some other manufactures use. Heat distribution is very good, facilitating rapid heating and boil times. The propane regulator and hoses are solid, and there were no leaks in my unit. That's it in a nutshell. It a good compromise between getting a kettle to boil, and not sucking up lots of propane. If you need more BTUs, you can get another regulator (15, 20 or 30 PSI). Cons: Instructions (mostly warnings about the danger of burns, incineration, and oxidizing organic matter [namely, you]) are poorly written, and, if you follow the instructions to the letter, don't allow its use as it's intended! Another downside is the stand. Sturdy enough, but no ability to increase its height. And why did they paint it black when, after several uses, burns off and leaves ashes everywhere. Perhaps it's meant to prevent oxidizing or the adherence of moisture during shipment, but it's an aggravation and affects its appearance. Third, the wind shield is merely adequate. I would have given 3.5 stars, but because the heart of the unit - burner and regulator - is good, the final rating is 4.
