This Conical Fermenator Extension transforms your existing 14 gallon Fermenator into a 26 gallon fermenter.

Q: How well does it seal? Anyone have a leak with this? that's my main concern. place the extension on top and during ferment a slow leak develops of 10 gallons over 10 days.

A: Blichmann has been desiging and sellingthe exentions for a number of years without issues. The process for lockign the extension inplace provides a tight seal that limits leaks from occuring. This can be tested on arrival with water to confirm beforep utting product inside for peace of mind as well.

Q: Can these extensions be stacked ... can you put a 2md extension on top of the first?

A: Phyiscally yes, this can be done, but is discouraged on more than 2 by the manufactuerer as the femrnetes can begin to become top heavy and pose safety concerns

Q: I have a 14 gallon with extension legs. What attention should be pay regarding to height and weight increase especially with leg extensions and wheels? Is it safe to install the fermenator extension in a fermenator with extension legs installed. Hector

A: The leg extensions are compatible with the Blichmann castors. We would not install a second set of extensions.

A: The extension adds 14.5" to the height of the 14.5 gallon conical bringing it to a total height of 45.75".
