Q: I am trying to decide between NPT fittings and Tri-clamp fittings on the 7 gal conical fermenter. Are the valves the same in both models?. For the NPT model are there NPT joints upstream and downstream of the valves or just downstream of the valves?

Q: Is 3 psi enough to filter through a plate filter after fermentation going into keg? Also - can you move the 7 gallon fermentor into a elevated freezer (8 inches) when full?
A: The fermenter can be carefully listed if needed into a fridge or cooler but would need to be done with caution as not to overturn. The amount of PSI needed would depend on the fittings used and micron and size of the filter
Q: Can the rubber seal be ordered separately? Mine disintegrated.

Q: Can this vessel be used as mash fermenter?

Q: How much PSI can this max pressure too and do the attachment come with, if not what is the charge for this extra piece?
A: The max pressure recommended by Blichmann on any of the fermenters is 3psi for transferring purposes only. These are not rated for pressurized fermentation. Fittings for this would be additional to what is provided with the fermenter.
Q: Hello, can this fermenter can be used for making wine?
A: This fermenter can technically be used for wine but unfortunately the spout on this can be clogged by skins of the fruit you are fermenting so we recommend using this product item #54-4189
