Q: How far does this stick out from the kettle wall once installed. I have a biab design with a stainless mesh basket inside the kettle and only have a limited amount of space between kettle wall and basket
A: This would extend about 3" inside the kettle
Q: Is it possible to install it in place of Blichmann BrewMometer? Maybe with some kind of adapter? Thanks!
A: The thread opening for the brewmometer is typically too small to fit the thread type of this valve. The threaded opening for the thermometer port would need modified by the end used to consider adding this valve in its place
Q: Can this be used with electric kettles ? If so will it mount into the hole that is currently used for the boilermaker sight glass or will a hole need to be drilled?
The presence of the element in an electric kettle would likely interfere with the whirlpool, no?
A: this can be used on electric kettle. The hole used for the sight gauges is a bit small for the valve eo a new hold will need driller. The hole is typically punched just above the coil, as the internal tube rotates so it can reach over the coils and down towards the bottom of the kettle
Q: Does the BrewEasy 5 gallon electric system have a port punched for the linear whirlpool accessory if they are ordered together?
A: There is an optional add on of the whirlpool valve and a question of where the punch is preferred in relation to the ball valve on the front, being on the left hand or right hand side
Q: Does this come with a quick disconnect fitting or do I need to purchase one if so male or female?
A: A quick disconnect is not shipped as part of the i tem and would need to be purchased seperatelt if needed. the connection on the end of the ball valve in this case ismale, so a female connection would be needed
Q: when do you anticipate this item being for sale?
A: These are a relatively new item from the Vendor, and we should have them available by mid to late April
