Q: The "bottle and carboy washer" I just bought seems to be a bit out of adjustment. Presumably, the stiff steel wire running up the side of the brass tube is supposed to fit snugly in the groove on the brass ferule, preventing the wire from falling out of the tube when pointed down. Instead, the fit is so loose the wire barely engages the groove and the ferrule moves freely along the tube. Assuming this thing is to operate pointing up, the wire and ferrule vibrate violently when water pressure is applied before they are launched off the end, with water streaming out the tube. Suggestions? Doesn't seem quite right.
A: this may be an issue with the ferrule inside the slide. we can be reached via Email at [email protected] with the order information to set up a replacement shipment!
Q: I have 2 of these $4.99 Bottle Washers and after 20 minutes (or so) the trigger starts sticking. It seems after it cools off ti starts to work again for another 20 minutes. My water temp is around 185 F. Is there a limit to the allowable water temperature?
A: The brass may expand a bit during long term exposure to higher temps causing the sticking to occur. Using a slightly lower temp range or allowing more cooling time during use will help limit this from occuring.
Q: Does this washer allow flow straight down when the jet is not being used? That is, can I use my faucet while the washer is attached?
A: The water would not flow straight down.
Q: Are the threads standard garden hose threads?
A: yes, thise piece would have a standard 3/4" female garden hose thread
Q: Will the narrow opening of an EZcap bottle fit over the rinsing end of this device?
A: Yes, The e.z. cap bottles do work with these style jet washers
