Q: You stated "Q: Can I make a full 10 gal batch with this system? Or is the max kettle volume 10gals?
Asked by: Doug - 1/2/2016
A: It is recommended that a 10 gal batch be done in a 20 gal brew easy with a minimum of 20# of grain.
Your answer is a little confusing. Did you mean to brew a 10 gallon batch, you need to purchase the BrewEasy 10 or the BrewEasy 20?? Or were you saying you would need to use a 10 gal brew kettle? Also, how much wort will you get out of a BrewEasy 10? I usually lie to end up with about 11 - 12 wort in the fermenter. And I take it that the BrewEasy 20 is for ending up with about 20 gallons of wort.

A: Blichmann recommends a GFCI Breaker size 30.
Q: On the ten gal.sys.can you a 5 gal. batch with no problems?
A: Yes, though Blichmann recommends the designed batch size. There is the potential for a thinner mash bed resulting in a cloudier wort. At least 10 pounds of grain is recommended.
