A: If kegging yeast is not needed when using forced co2. The same amount of sugar would be needed for the correct level of sweetness
Q: I bought 2 of these. I wanted to make one as a normal Root Beer and then the other as an adult version, with alcohol. I would Keg both of the batches. Any suggestions for both? Would this work ok for an alcoholic version?
A: It would yes, I normally recommend adding in a spirit to the keg as opposed to trying to ferment out a base your self. The results can be spotty and using a store bought spirit allows you to adjust the alcohol and flavor a bit easier to suit your taste

A: The vitamin supplement yeast may or not be activated for creating carbonation, I normally recommend using a Champagne yeast as this will build up a higher rate of carbonation and is inexpensive at $.99 a pack Item#24-3410.
The syrup should be good for 6 months to a year once opened and stored in a cool dry place.
Q: Can you use stevia to make this root beer? Will the yeast ferment using stevia? We have been making root beer for years and years, but never with stevia. I would like to try it with Stevia, but don't want to waste a bottle of extract if stevia does not work. Thank you for your input.
A: While Stevia will not inhibit fermentation by brewers yeast, it will not ferment and would not give you the rate of carbonation needed for soda. It can still be used as a sweetener without issue

A: The syrup is not marked as being certified Kosher

A: You only add a small amount of yeast per bottle for carbonation. There will be trace amounts of alcohol ( as with any natural carbonated soda ).
