Q: Is this available for natural gas hookup?
Or, if adapters are necessary, will it provide enough BTU to get a 21" diameter 28 gallon mash to a boil?
A: The stand can have the orifices and pick up hose changed to suit natural gas by the end user if needed. The footprint of the stand was designed to accommodate a 15.5 gallon keg kettle so the footprint of 21" may leave less room on either side for other kettles to be on the stand with the larger mashtun, but otherwise the burners output should be able to accommodate a larger kettles boil volume
Q: I don’t see anything regarding spacing of the burners. I have 3 Megapot 1.2 15 gal. kettles. Will they fit without bumping into each other?
A: The burners are 18 inches apart from center to center. Depending on the handle orientation on the kettles, you should be able to get a 20 gallon Anvil kettle (or similar) that has about a 17" or max. diameter of 18" on the burner. Thanks for the question!
Q: Great looking stand. Would I be able to attach Honeywell valves to each burner in order to control them with electrical system? Thanks similar to the original Brutus 10. Thanks
A: The burners have a 3/8" flared connection on the side that attaches to the hose. They would be connected to a thermocouple with the correct fittings
Q: What are the burners rated at (BTU's)? Each...
A: 220,000btu is the maximum BTUs of each individual burner. That being said, it does depend on the size of the tank, the amount of propane in the tank ( whether it is full or not ), and the PSI of the regulator. With three of these burners running off a single regulator and propane tank, you will not get the full 220k potential of the burners.
Q: Beautiful Brutus 10 stand! What is the spacing between centers on each burner. I am wondering what the max pot diameter can be supported. ie. will some 20 gallon pots fit?
A: We love the Brutus stand and we appreciate the inquiry! The burners are 18 inches apart from center to center. Depending on the handle orientation on the kettles, you should be able to get a 20 gallon Anvil kettle (or similar) that has a 17 or max. diameter of 18" on the burner. Thanks for the question!
Q: WILL THIS STAND WORK WITH BG14 BURNERS? AND WOULD IT BE THE SAME PRICE TO CHOP THE LEGS SO IT WOULD BE 24-26" HIGH
A: This stand is not compatible with the BG14 burners, they have very different mounting bolt locations. Unfortunately, we currently do n ot do custom builds on our stands.
Q: nice stand... i'm building an eHERMS rig and wondering is it possible to get the stand without the burners + related plumbing? ideally there would be a place to mount two pumps (chugger SS) + plate chiller (blichmann), but I can fashion something to fit on the bottom shelf if need be.
A: Unfortunately we are currently not customizing our brewstands. The majority of the plumbing is inside the framing and not something we would want to remove.
Q: I would like to have this stand but with banjo burners in it,and two mounting brackets for pumps, and one for a counter flow chiller?
A: For custom work like that contact our online support at [email protected] and we'll see what we can do!
Q: What's the smallest size kettles that can fit on this stand, diameter wise? I have some spike brewing kettles, and they have a domed bottom which makes the bottom of the kettle only about 11 1/2" diameter. Was wondering if they would fit on this.
A: That size is going to be a little small for this setup. Supports could be welded to the frame to accommodate that size pot.
Q: Are these burners convertible to natural gas, and if so, will they produce enough BTU to bring 15 gallons to a rolling boil?
A: Thanks for the question! Yes you can concert these to natural gas with item number 99-1677. The flame will be powerful enough to bring 15 gallons up to a rolling boil! Cheers.
Q: what would this cost without burners?
A: David, we can offer the stand for $30 less with out the three burners. Simply call our call center and let them know that you would like to purchase it without the burners.
Q: Is it possible to have this built about 5 inches shorter? If so, what is the price difference?
A: We can do a custom stand set up with the dimensions you are looking for. We would need to gather a time frame and cost from our fabricator, but if you give us a call at the number listed in the contact us section, we could gladly look into it for you and provide that information.
Q: I bought this stand over the summer and love it! I am curious to know how other people are mounting pumps and plate chillers? With the front lower horizontal beam serving as a gas chamber feeding the burners, you cannot drill into that.
A: 2'' square "U" channel is the best way to mount them. you can find this at any hardware store.
Q: Does the gas setup include a connection for use with a standard 20# LP tank?
Are there mounts and or splash guards available for pumps?
A: This stand does come with a propane hose and regulator for a standard tank. There are no pump mounts or guards available at this time.
Q: It appears these burners will not work with the Blichman TOP control units as they only are good up to 25 psi per the website?
A: The burners will work fine. You would need to change the propane regulator out to a lower PSI unit, such as a 10 or 15 PSI propane regulator.
Q: What is the BTU rating of the burners?
A: These burners are our standard High Pressure Cast Iron Burners ( Item Number 35-1674 ), which with a full high volume propane tank and included 30psi regulator, can reach 220,000 btus.
Q: I see the reply to a question about increasing the size for the banjo burner. The inside measurements for each burner is 12" x 12". The outside measurements for each burner is 16" x 16". Can you tell me the cost to increase the size to accommodate a banjo burner but to ship the unit with standard burners and what are the measurements inside and outside the burner for this change?
A: The bar stock is 2" stock. The OD of the burner openings would be 16", while the ID would be 14." The current cost for this custom work would be $500.
Q: What is the inside measurements of the burner frames where the kettles set?
A: The inside measurements for each burner is 12" x 12". The outside measurements for each burner is 16" x 16".
Q: Can you get this with banjo burners?
A: Yes it can but the brutus stand would have to be changed a bit increasing the price with extra welds and also increasing the wait time for delivery to at least 8 weeks.
Q: I have a 1bbl brewery (HLT/MASH/BOIL) kettles, 20" diameter, 24" out to out including handles. Would this stand accommodate this configuration?
A: No it would not, the stand is only 52'' in length. We can make custom stands though. If that interests you, just shoot us an email, and we can get you a quote.
