This Creme Fraiche Starter Culture includes 4 direct-set starter cultures to begin making creme fraiche. These cultures are one-time-use only and cannot be recultured. Cultures are easy to use, and require almost no maintenance or care. Store in your freezer until ready to use and culture at room temperature (72-77 F). Direct-set cultures contain both starter culture and rennet.
Instruction and Ingredient Info:
To Use: Combine 1 packet of Creme Friache Starter with 1 quart of cream or half-and-half. Try experimenting with heavy cream, half-and-half or raw cream for different, delicious results. For best results, avoid using ultra-pasteurized or UHT milk.
