This versatile starter can make an extraordinary variety of outstanding, flavorful hard cheeses such as parmesan, romano, provolone, swiss and more. This culture can be used to create all your favorite hard cheeses. This Thermophilic Starter Culture includes 8 direct-set starter cultures to begin making hard cheeses. These cultures are one-time-use only and cannot be recultured. Cultures are easy to use, and require almost no maintenance or care. Store in your freezer until ready to use and culture at room temperature (72-77 F).
Instruction and Ingredient Info:
To Use: Use as directed by your recipe or try combining 1 packet of Thermophilic Starter per gallon of milk, 2 packets per 2-4 gallons, or 4 packets per 5-10 gallons. For best results, avoid using ultra-pasteurized or UHT milk. Heat milk and cultures according to temperatures as detailed in your recipe.
