2000ml Erlenmeyer Flask

This 2000ml Erlenmeyer flask is made of borosilicate glass and features a heavy duty rim for longer lab service. This flask has approximate graduations in durable white enamel. It also has an extra large marking area.

The Erlenmeyer Flask is used to heat and store liquids. The advantage to the Erlenmeyer Flask is that the bottom is wider (6-1/2'') than the top (2-1/4'') so it will heat quicker because of the greater surface area exposed to the heat.

Measures 11-1/8'' tall.

High quality flasks
Very nice flasks. Great deal, am buying some of the Five liter flask also. Shipped fast as well.

Awesome product
I'm really happy with this flask. My first two beers I made I used this for my yeast starter. I personally should have gone with a 5000ml because my first two beers required huge starters. I made it work though. Highly recommend use with stirplate.

Good for coldbrew too
Read an article about adding coffee to porters and stouts. Coldbrew was recommended. 3.5 oz of course ground coffee and 1000ml of water. Stir for 2 hours. Magic! Works well for yeast starters too.

Good Buy
A nice piece of equipment to have. Only issue was a inventory sticker on the flask leaving a stubborn film on the flask after removal. Required a solvent and lots of effort with a razor blade.

2000ml is what you need
This is a quality flask. I'd say the 2000ml size is the best fit. Perfect for building yeast starters. Unless you have a particular need for the 5000ml size, this is enough volume for general use. The 1000ml is just a bit too small and this one does the job nicely.

Great addition to brew stuff
I boil water and 5+ oz of DME in these, cool it, add a bit of yeast nutrient and then pitch my yeast in it. I use one bag of wyeast, set it on a stir plate for 6 to 12 hrs and pitch it to 10 gal of beer. Bubbler going in 12 hrs all the time. Saves lots of $ in yeast cost.

About Time
I have been using a growler that I just swirl whenever I walk by it for the past 4 years. I am so glad I made this purchase along with the stir plate. I know it will make quite a difference. I'm still fermenting an All Mosaic IPA fermented with West Yorkshire yeast that I started in this flask. It's gonna be grrrrreat!

Just What I Needed
I have been very pleased with your service. It was easy to order and the items seemed to arrive faster than I expected. Both items are great. The Erlenmeyer flask was just what I needed to make starters easier. The refract meter kind of saved my brew day. I had boiled for about 55 min of a 60 min boil. I took a sample with the refract meter and was still too low on my OG so I let it boil about an extra 10 min to hit the OG spot on.
