FerMonster PET Carboy 7 Gallon (Includes lid with hole that accepts (OPTIONAL) #10 drilled bung)

Introducing the FerMonster Wide-Mouth Carboy! To enable easy cleaning, the FerMonster features smooth, ribless sides. This helps to reduce the residual yeast and sediment build-up. A 4" wide-mouth opening reduces spillage and the need for additional equipment when filling or cleaning the FerMonster.

Other features include:

* 7 gallons in size
* Large enough capacity to be used as a primary or secondary fermenter
* Brilliantly clear with built-in 5, 6 and 7 gallon markings
* Made with food-grade plastic and BPA-free
* Lid is constructed as one piece, providing an airtight seal

Buy the wrench! It can be VERY challenging to get the lid off if you give it a good twist shut. I like the volume and head works perfectly for me as I make 11-gal batches. Plenty of head space. Easy to clean. I agree with the other commenter that to get five stars, we need a simple carrying harness. It's especially difficult to pick up from the floor.

Super Light / Lid Fits Tight
Purchased the 7 gallon FerMonster as an upgrade to my 6.5 gallon fermenting bucket. I am very pleased with it. Watching the yeast develop was worth the price. Due to it's light weight you can easily shake up cleaning/sanitizing solution. The red lid can be difficult to unscrew if you "crank it down", but the #10 bung hole allows you to easily grab a sample or trasnfer with your siphon. I highly recommend purchasing some form of harness to handle the container when it's filled with fermenting beer. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is that I think the fermenter should be sold with it's own carrying harness.
