Q: how do you set and use the alarm? do you just plug into any 110 outlet?
A: The unit is plumbed into the tower. Using the orange flow set switch for where the alarm will be set to sound at if the flow drops below that mark
Q: Sorry I guess I wasn’t clear in my last question as the answer given assumed. Own a tower. I do not. I would like to add this to my mash tun to throttle down the flow and control my sparge rate, does this plug directly into any 110 outlet? I assume without the tower there will not be any alarms, would that be correct?
A: it can have a plug attached to run 110 and would just not have the alarm typically given when used with the tower
Q: Last question. What does the power cord do if the alarm won’t work without the tower?
No Answers have been submitted yet.
Q: Can this be used the the LTE stand? Where does the power for the alarm come from?
A: The meter has a wire that can be plumbed into the tower stand. The LTE stand is not designed to work with the flow meter, but it does have 1/2" mpt threads on either side so it could be used without being mounted
Q: We have a twenty gallon ss mash tun with false bottom, a twenty five ss gallon boil kettle. We do eleven gallon batches, and a two pump system. Would your flow meter work for controlling sparge from mash tun to boil kettle? 1 quart/minute?
A: 1 qt per minute is the low end of the flow rates this meter can read, but it should work fine.
