Q: Does wine aging in a barrel need to fill the barrel like it should in a carboy? I’m asking because I’m anticipating having about 3 gallons and wonder if a 5 gallon barrel would be okay. Thanks!
A: ideally, the barrel would benefit from being filled to limit any potential oxidation, but if the bung used is a good solid stopper it will cut down on that risk
Q: I am traveling at this time, so can shipping on a 5 gal barrel be delayed until after March 1 ?
