A: Thi intended use is to squeeze juice of pulped fruit, so it should work fine for your purpose as well

A: not with the exact same design but we do sell a 3 liter press under item #29-1821-2

A: it may need to be done in 2 lots but the press should be able to press out the skins without issue

A: The basket and press plate are stainless steel so hot fruit should not pose a problem
Q: what are the dimensions of the basket?
A: The dimensions of the fruit press basket are 5 inches in diameter and the basket is 4 1/2 inches tall. The spout opening is 1/2 inch and the overall height to the top of the press is 1 ft.
Q: can i purchase the inner basket only?
A: Unfortunately the inner basket is not currently offer as an individual part from the manufacturer
Q: We currently use a garlic press to extract pulp and juice from fresh sliced jalepenos. We are wondering if this press would work on jalepenos?
A: The product is intended for use with soft fruits and grapes for making home made wine. We have not tested for use with many other fruits and vegetables but so long as the product is in a soft puree it would function the same as with soft fruits.
Q: Can this presser squeeze juice from slices of eggplant? I discard the juice because it's bitter before I make eggplant Parmesan. With my arthritic hands I have painful time to squeeze the juice out of the eggplant slices. I am looking for a machine that will be a substitute to my hands. Is this machine what I am looking for?
A: The press is designed for pressing fruit purees and soft fruits for juice extraction for wine production. While eggplant is typically softer pulp, the press is not directly designed for this application and would vary in the results
Q: Will this press work for coconuts?
A: The press will work best with soft flesh fruits, and softer foods. We cannon confirm this would work well for extracting coconut water or milk from the pulp
Q: Can this be good to use for avocados to make avocado oil?
A: While the press should be able to accommodate avocado flesh, we are not 100 familiar with the process for producing this oil, or the straining needed to filter the oil from the flesh.
Q: What is the press plate made of? Stainless steel or aluminum?
A: the press plate is Stainless Steel. All components that come in contact with food, are stainless steel on this press.
Q: I have a Champion juicer and would like to press the pulpy discharge in a bag. Do you sell bags that would be adequate for this purpose?
A: For the size of the press basket on this item, the item#24-4756 would sufficient for straining a finer pulp as well as being reusable.
Q: Can this press be used to press small amounts of honeycomb to extract the honey?
A: That is not the intended purpose, but it could possible work. This has not been done here at the store so I could not tell you exactly how successful it will be.
Q: does it come apart to clean easily?
A: Yes this does come part for easier cleaning.
