Gooder Than Guinness Stout All Grain Recipe

This very simple, low gravity Dry Stout is an all-time favorite of mine. With a low ABV you'll find it hard to have just one. I highly recommend using an Irish ale yeast with this one but you can find great results using the S-04 dry yeast as well. This beer is great served as is. Put it on a nitro system, and it rocks!

First All Grain Brew
For my first all grain brew, I had excellent results with this kit. Tastes just like the real thing.

Great Value, Good Beer!
Chose this as my first all grain batch since it was cheap and my bday is coming up on St. Patty's Day. Added 1.5lb of pale malt to boost the fermentables a bit, put it around 6%. Stout came out just as I'd hoped! Great kit for the money.

Turned out great!
This was my first all grain brew and I screwed up with the boil volume, it still was darn good. Tastes like Guinness, I can only imagine if I had done a better job of brewing.

First stout
1/23/14 - Mashed in at 154F. Added 2 lbs pale malt to make up for no sparge efficiency loss. Pitched Mangrove Jack's British Ale M07 aerated with 1 minute O2 at 61F. A bit low for this yeast but got a clean fermentation. 2/6/15 - Kegged. Tried a few glasses after one day. I'm no pro, but this is possibly my best/favorite beer yet. A little bitterness, dark color and clean yet rich flavor. Great recipe!

One Tasty Dry Irish Stout
I've just got to say that this is one tasty session stout. I used S-04 with it, and it has produced a delicious dry irish stout that is getting better every day. Originally it was a little fruity, but has mellowed out to express the malty goodness it deserves. Thank you guys for putting this together!
