Q: What are the calories?
A: Serving Size: 46 ml, Calories: 100, Fat: 0g, Carbs: 25g, Protein: 1g
Q: My kit didn't include any instructions, is there a digital PDF available?
A: the manufacturer, winexpert, has the recipes available for download or print from their site directly at www.winexpert.com. They will be located under the Winemaking tab, in kit instructions. This would fall under the "Fruit Mist Kits" for the pdf you'll be looking for
Q: This is my second island mist kit. Why is the alcohol content at a 2? It was bubbling like crazy for almost a week.
A: The wine kits when diluted to the 23 liters, will normally get about 6-8% checking the first hydromter reading compared to the 2nd at the end of fermentation using the formula (OG - FG) x 131.25 = ABV% will get you the expected ABV
Q: Is the bucket included that is needed to let everything ferment?
A: This product would contain only the nessecery ingredients for the wine but not the gear or equipment. A equipment kit like item #24-3010 would be great to use for producing these wines
Q: First, what is Alcohol content ? Second, if I want a higher alcohol content,do I just add sugar with yeast in the first fermentation ? Third, how much sugar would I add for a 5 gallon batch ? and would this change the taste ?
A: Alcohol content in the mist kits is typically in the 6.5-85 range depending on the recipe. Additional sugar can be added to the primar fermentation to increase the body and alocholo content if needed, but would void the replacement guarantee on the kit offered by the manufactuerer. the amount of Sugar added would be based on personal preference to get the the desired body and ABV
Q: Your description says: "The Sangria wine kit comes with everything you need to make 6 gallons (which will result in approx. 30 750ml bottles) of finished wine. This kit includes:"
But the box clearly seems to indicate it makes 7.5 liters which is really 2 US Gallons. Which one is it?
A: This kit makes 6 gallons of wine. It has 7.5 liters of juice concentrate in the package which is what you use to make the wine.
