Q: I'm looking for an extract replacement for a 2 row malt. This is for an apple ale recipe. Haven't graduated to all grain yet. Would muttons plain light dme be a good substitute? Or something like a pale dry malt extract?
A: The plain light or Extra light through Muntons would work well as a base malt substitute when other steeping grains are used to make up the other malts color and flavor profiles in the recipe
