Q: Does this nitro faucet have the restrictor disk in it?
A: this will have the dispersion plate or restrictor plate included in the faucet
Q: Will this unit what I need to put nitro in a ball lock system? I just bought 4 of your 5 gallon tanks for $75. each. Also can these tanks hold 30psi?
A: the kegs have a PSI tolerance of 120. This system is set up to work on the ball lock 5 gallon kegs
Q: Does this include everything I need for a Guinness keg?
A: this would included the items needed for tapping and serving a ball lock Cornelius keg. If tapping Guinness you would need ball lock sanke adapters for the liqud in and gas feed out, and the correct commercial coupler used on Guinness kegs, as separate add ons to the system
Q: I just bought this and set it up with beer gas. How do I adjust the PSI down on this regulator? There is a screw protruding out the front, which I assume is the adjustment, but there is no indication which direction to turn to adjust the PSI down. When I hooked it up it immediately pushed my keg over 40 PSI, so I turned off the gas until I can adjust it back down a bit.
A: the set screw on the front is intended to be used to adjust the pressure up and down. You would turn counter clockwise to decrease pressure and clockwise to increase
Q: I just bought a keg fridge with one tap. I'd like to get a guinness keg, but want to know if this will work. My office number is 951-461-2500. is the Nitrogen sold separately. and does the nitrogen tank have be kept cool for safety
A: this system would work to add an additional faucet and shank, with the stout serving faucet to the door of the fridge to serve nitro beers. The fittings on this system are plumed for homebrew Cornelius kegs and unfortunately not set up for commercial kegs or taps at this time. Purchasing the faucet to change over on your system, the Nitrogen tank and regulator separately, in addition to a U system coupler to tap a Guiness keg would be the best bet. The nitrogen tanks do nto ship filled due to FAA and hazmat restrictions and would need to be filled locally. The tank can be used at room temp, or kept in the fridge without issues in either case.
Q: How much does it cost to fill a 5# tank?
A: this will vary depending on the supplier but can be as low as $30 and as much as $60 from what we have seen in the past
Q: Do you have this setup available w/o the Nitro Tank?
A: we do not currently offer the system less the tank as a 1 stop shop item on the site. The faucet shank assembly, gas line connection and nitrogen regulator can all be purchased from the site a la carte if needed
Q: Do you have any cyber week deals for first-time customers?
A: There is a web promotion that this time would qualify for that will show in the cart at checkout
Q: Will this item be available before Christmas?
A: This system is currently available to process and ship
Q: Can the flow meter go to 15 psi? What is the tank capacity? What is the purity of the nitro?
A: the regulator gauge tolerance is 30 PSI. The tank capacity if 5lbs and the purity of the Nitrogen will be based on who and where you purahse your gas from locally as the tanks do no ship filled do to legal hazmat stipulations
Q: Can the stout faucet be connected to a ball lock connect for direct keg connection?
A: The faucet can be used on a disconnect adapter, but is a bit heavy and cumbersome for pour. the faucet would not sit upright with the adapter as well
Q: What is the shank for?
A: This kit is designed with the idea you'll be mounting the faucet to the front or side of a fridge for dispensing. The shank allows you to adapt the faucet and mount it to the fridge or freezer door
Q: Is the tank that comes with this Aluminum or Steel? Is steel, Does it have to be because of charging pressure?
A: This tank is Steel. We don't currently carry an aluminum Nitrogen tank but they are manufactured.
Q: What brand is the faucet and gauge?
A: The gauge is taprite and the faucet is krome.
Q: What is the recommended N2 pressure fill?
What is the pressure range of the regulator?
A: We keep ours set at 32 psi here at the store and the gauge maxes out at 60 psi.
Q: Can I use my current CO2 keg/regulator, and just buy the Nitro faucet? Will that work?
A: Nope. If you tried it, you would just get flat beer out of the faucet. The creaminess you get from serving on nitrogen would not be there.
Q: I am interested in turning a fridge into a Nitrogen Keg system to serve Guinness from a 1/2 keg. Is everything included in this kit that I would need?
A: Yes, except the keg set up and beer.
Q: Is there a check valve in the gas line?
A: The regulator has a built in check valve within the gas shut off.
Q: What are the lengths and ID's of the gas/beer lines?
A: 5 feet of 5/16" ID gas line, and 5 feet of 3/16" ID beer line.
Q: What size is the tank?
A: This is a 5# Nitrogen Tank. The dimensions of the tanks are 17 3/4" tall and 5 1/8" in diameter.
