Q: i check the s.g. started at 1.055 a week later 1.010. I guess it is fermenting? No bubbling that i can see in air lock at all. I will wait until s.g.is .998 and see what happens. temp.is 73 degrees. Made a lot of Breezin white wine kits, first time i made a red. Very please with kits.THANK YOU ARRON
A: Sounds like your got some good fermentation going on and the wine is just to a point to where ti is not off gassing at a high enough rate to process aggressive bubbling in the air lock. Sounds like you on the right track!
Q: Started wine per instructions added yeast.Four days not bubbling yet.Is this normal ?
A: The wine will ferment out best in temp ranges in the mid to high 70's if this is being fermented in a cooler area, the fermentation will be a bit more sluggish and show less in the airlock. You can confirm the yeast is fermenting by taking a small sample of the wine and checking the gravity with a hydrometer vs. the original reading you recorded before adding the yeast
Q: I notice that some people in their reviews say they added sugar in varying amounts. Is that necessary? Do the instructions cover that? How do you know how much to add if not in the instructions?
A: This kit comes with all of the ingredients needed to make this sangria, there is no need for extra sugar. If you decided to add additional ingredients, the instructions do not cover that. That would be up to your discretion!
