I am looking to but the 650ss faucet, and wanted to ask what other parts do I need in order to connect in to an existing tower (anything else but the shank? what size goes with that faucet for a 3" tower?).
A: The faucet will connect to any draft tower or shank with a standard draft coupling nut without the need for additional parts outside of a handle, which is not included.
Q: I was online ordering 2 perlick 650ss this evening and when I added them to my cart they were showing as $66.99 each saving $13 off the regular price of $79.99 but when I went to check out they changed to $79.58 each. Still says saving $13 off regular price of $79.99 but $79.58 certainly is not $13 less than $79.99. Not sure what's going on but glad I caught this and I didnt place my order.
A: Thanks for the feedback Ralph, it is possible you selected the optional drop-down to add on a perlick growler filler, which costs 12.59 apiece, and would raise the over all cost of the faucet, with the bundled filler to 79.58 which is the price you are seeing in the cart. If you wanted the cost to be at the 66.99, do not add the filling attachment and the discounted price will show in the cart
Q: Do these come with a handle of any kind? Like a cheap black plastic one?
A: The faucets would not ship with a handle included but one can be added to the order if needed under item ID40-1880
Q: Has Perlick updated their design to eliminate the stainless components (303) that caused the sulphur smell with low PH beverages?
A: To our knowledge this has baeen addressed a while back and the current lots being shipped have the new material make up
Q: Will this work with say the Snap Tap, mounted directly to a keg?
A: While we cannot confirm or deny as we do not carry the snap tap branded adapter, they have listed on their site that it should work. This would be to try at your own risk.
Q: When will these faucets be available at this price?
A: Perlick will have these in stock again after the turn of the new year. Pricing on these is determined by current promotions and stock levels from the vendor. While they may be at this cost when we receive them back in, we cannot guarantee this
Q: I have an Igloo Kegerator Beer Bar model number FRB200. It should commercial kegs and is sold through Curtis International. I bought mine at Home Depot. I run heavy beers like Fat Tire and the tap sticks, it has now broke. Can the 650SS be installed as a replacement tap?
A: Typically the faucets and shanks are a universal thread on tap towers. The 650SS can be used for replacement with all towers with standard thread shanks.
Q: WILL THE FLOW CONTROL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF THE BEER FLOW?
A: The tap should still be shut off from the tap lever, the flow control will not completely shut off beer flow.
Q: Does this work with the SS Beer Shank 6" x 1/4" bore, Item Number:19-1337?
A: Definitely, this faucet will work great with that shank.
Q: Will this item connect to a keg faucet adaptor, item number 40-1884?
A: This faucet will not work with item 40-1884. The forward seal on perlick faucets will not work with this adapter piece.
Q: Why the warning around not recommending this faucet for low pH bevs? The Perlick site claims that the 650SS is WINEcertified. If it is SS, seems it should hold up to more acidic liquid?
A: We have learned that this faucet does include stainless parts that do not work well with low pH beverages from Perlick. This was verified with Perlick after a customer was having issues with a sulphur smell from the faucet.
Q: How wide is the faucet with consideration to the flow adjustment lever?
A: The widest point of this faucet is 2.5 inches.
Q: Is the Perlick 650SS flow control faucet compatible with the 630SS Perlick growler filler?
A: The 630ss growler filler is compatible with the 650ss faucet.
Q: Do you have the 680SS?
A: This product has not been released by perlick yet. As soon as they do we will carry it.
Q: What is the thread type and size this will connect to?
A: This will attach to a standard beer shank which has 1-1/8" diameter with 18 threads per inch.
Q: Just wondering if this is available right now for immediate shipping or is it still not released?
A: The Perlick 650SS are in stock.
Q: When will this be released?
A: We are expecting these faucets to be released this month June 2014. We do not have an exact date yet.
