Q: Hello. I have two old Cornelius kegs I am rebuilding. One of them takes 3/4" poppets like the one you have illustrated. However, I need 2 that are approximately 1" long for the other one. The 3 "legs" on the 1" poppet are substantially longer than the smaller one. Do you have any of the longer ones?
A: when rebuilding kegs, I like to use the universal poppet style found on item ID C314-3613. These are longer springs and designed to work with any keg, pin lock, ball lock and regardless of manufacturer so they are hard to mix up or purchase the wrong part since they are deigned to work with all Cornelius kegs
Q: I have two different style of kegs. One is pin type the other push. Will the original Cornelius replacement poppet fit both? Also the push style keg had a slightly larger o ring, can I get replacement through you
A: The pin lock and ball lock kegs will use different poppets based on the manufacturer of the keg itself as Pepsi and Coke did use 4-5 different companies over the kegs lifespan. The poppet I normally recommend in this case is a universal popper guarantee to fit any keg design on part ID C314-3613
Q: how many of these poppets would I need to order to satisfy a quantity discount? I have 14 pinlock kegs from you, that's 28 poppets! I tried using some universals but the washers came right up through the holes. Seems the tapered end is what I need. These are the kind of poppets that came with the kegs
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer a quantity discount of the Cornelius Poppets.
Q: Is is possible to get a replacement gasket/seal for Cornelius Poppet Valves?
A: the gasket itself is not currently available as a replacement part
Q: Does this fit used 5 gallon ball lock kegs from your store? The universal poppet seems too long for the ball lock posts. I couldn't get the disconnects on very easily.
A: This will fit kegs marked with the Cornelius Co. branding on the side but will notfit will all kegs types as both Pepsi and Coke used 4-5 different manufacturers of the kegs over the years, each using its own post type. The universal poppets typically dotn run into issues workign with the disconnects on as they rest on top of the dip tubes. The springs can be slightly compressed before adding them into the post to shorten them slightly which in some cases can help resolve this issues oin certain kegs
Q: Does this fit in Champion keg posts?
A: These will fit champion keg posts.
Q: Is this poppet the universal one?
A: This is not a universal poppet. The universal model is item # c314-3613.
