Q: I am looking to set up my own "kegerator" may I ask what I need for CO2 and beer libe attachements to this style of pin lock system?
A: for 4 kegs, item ID 99-4470-1 would give you the hardware needed, and would only require the keds and co2 tank purchased with it to complete the system if you already have a fridge
Q: Dear Homebrewing Team,
I am interested in the 5 Gallon Pin Lock Keg set. I live in Germany though, how much would shipping these four Kegs to Germany cost?
Furthermore, I might even need six of these pinlock kegs. May I kindly ask, if you could make me an offer for a set of six?
A: We can process orders to Germany. You would need to add the items your looking to order into a cart on the site and change over the shippign information to your address and postal code for the rates to be shown. You can order a set of 4 and two single pin lock kegs and the cost balance there would be $187 under the current cost (Jan 2018)
Q: The description says no pressure relief valve, how does one put in a pressure relief valve or do I have to purchase something separate? I am new to using kegs, have always bottled.
A: The ball lock style kegs used by Pepsi had a manual relief valve built into he lid as a standard time, where Coke a Cola did not use this relief on their design for the lids on the Pin Lock style kegs. The lids are universal between the two and item #C314-3048 can be purchased as a separate item to convert the lids to have the valve if preferred
Q: Hi, I bought a 4-pack of these guys and they came as advertised, functional, but pretty dirty. Every time I touch the rubber parts, black residue comes off on my hands. What do you recommend for cleaning and reconditioning the rubber handles and feet so that they are less messy to handle?
A: This is normal with the rubberized tops and bottoms on the kegs over time as the dye used in the rubber will start to fade out with heavy use. I have had luck using a soft scrub pad and then hitting the handles with alittle bar keepers friend.
Q: i would like if is posible to send me just 1 postmix at a time postmix and not all of them together?
A: We do offer the kegs as a stand alone item, but to take advantage of the pricing on the lot of 4 all kegs would need to be shipped as part of the same order
I`m interrested in the kegs. Do you ship to Brazil or Argentina?
How about the cost?
Do you have new one and the 2.5 Gallons as well?
Regards Marcos Bianchi
A: We can ship any of the kegs we have listed on the site internationally. For a rate quote you would need to place the items your looking to order into a cart on the site, and put in your shipping information for the system to generate the proper shipping cost
Q: Hi, can be shipped in groups of two? with extra shipping cost of course. thanks
A: When ordering a 4 pack the kegs will ship together all in 1 box. We can make arrangements for the package to ship in two boxes but there will be extra shipping cost involved
Q: how much it cost package to ship in two boxes? this extra costs, thank you
A: This would vary depending on the destination of the order. We can help with determining this cost but would need a quick phone call at 313-277-2739 Ext 1 with the address information for us to generate an estimated total for two boxes
Q: Could these be picked up locally?
A: We have these Pin Lock kegs in the stores and they can be picked up locally. Thanks for the question!
Q: Is there any extra discount if I wanted to order 20+?
A: At this time the Pin Lock kegs are at the lowest cost we would be able to provide for a bulk order
Q: How many of these do you guys have in stock?
A: At this point in time we do still have several available for shipping but this is a while supplies last sale so a specific number request can be sent to [email protected] and we can see if we can accommodate the total your looking for
Q: Of I get the 1/4" MFL disconnects do they include the coupler that is barbed to attach it to the line, or is it just the disconnect and I need to buy the female end seperatly?
No Answers have been submitted yet.
Q: hi i wanted to purchase these to use to pressurize liquid/soda for dispensing. what kind of gas or liquid disconnects would i need to have setup with this?
A: Pin Lock kegs use a Pin Lock disconnect. You can find those on the site, the item number is 60-2640. Thanks for the question!
Q: Which conversion kits would I need to buy with these to convert to ball lock? I see you have: Keg Post Conversion Kit (pin lock to ball lock) 9/16-18 Thread. Would these work to convert to a typical ball lock disconnects.
A: We carry two different typers to cover the two post threads used by the different manufacturers of the kegs for Coke originally. If you add 1 style of the conversion kit to your cart, add a note at the end of your order to please match kegs to conversion kits and we can make this happen!
Q: I got an email listing 4 kegs for $100 but every time I've gone to the website this week since Monday it shows them $196. When was the 4 for $100 sale?
A: The 4 for $100 sale was running from Monday until Tuesday Evening when we had to end the sale due to availability of the kegs based on sales. We do periodically run these sales throughout the year and will update the Newsletter subscribers with that information when the sales run again
Q: If I purchase this what other attachments do I need to make a keezer?
A: We do have a full page on the site listed with all the components needed to build a kegerator or "keezer" if you already have the kegs, or will be buying them separately. That page would be at this link:
Q: What is the volume of the package? (For shipping propose)
A: The package will measure 27x18x18 and will weigh 44-50Lbs.
Q: I'd like to buy socket so I can remove the posts, then modify it myself with the three small notches). I've read that pin lock kegs are sometimes 7/8ths and sometimes 13/16ths. What size socket works best for posts on these kegs?
A: The best socket to buy if you are planning on modifying it for pin lock kegs would be 13/16" - 1/2" drive. Good luck!
Q: What additional parts do you recommend purchasing with these kegs? I see there are several options. Do I need poppets, for example?
A: These kegs do come with replacement o-rings and used poppets. Having extra poppets or o-rings is never a bad idea, ensuring that you will be able to keep the kegs in service. Pin Lock Sockets are custom cut to aid in removing these keg posts, I highly recommend them.
Q: Could these be converted to ball lock? If so, how easily?
A: You can convert these kegs to ball lock, you would need to get posts with the same thread sizes. The best option would be to purchase ball lock conversion kits at the same time that you purchase the kegs. Purchase one set of four 5 gallon pin lock kegs, and four of our conversion kits ( Item Number 99-3544 or Item Number 99-3543 ) at the same time. Then just add notes in the comments section at checkout that you need the kegs to match the conversion kits you purchased, and we will accommodate you.
