Q: What is the gasket called that goes inside the ball valve to prevent it from leaking? It is surprisingly difficult to find a replacement for this.
A: The gaskets are not an item we currently provide as a replacement as they are not available to us through our suppliers. i do not believe they have a specific name but with measurements, may be able to find a suitable O'ring in the same size to try out through a gasket supplier
Q: If the hose barb is removed, can the ½” MPT Male clover full port be used? If not what is the threaded diameter to add a tri-clamp connection?
A: It can be used without the NPT to barb sitting, but the thread on the front is 1/2" NPT to add in a new fitting of your choosing with the proper thread size
Q: I do not see a drop down to select a 1/2" barb. Is it still available and if so how do I order it?
A: These valves arrive preassembled from our vendor. You could purchase the hose barb separately or make your own assembly. Here are the parts you would need!

Q: How does the bazooka screen attach to this item?
A: It has threads and will screw into the back end of the assembly.
Q: Will this part work with the 8gal one weld pot?
A: If you already have a weld, then you need just a ball valve assembly. If you wish to add an extra weld, and do it the weld less way by drilling your own hole and attaching this kettle conversion assembly then you can do that too.
Q: Will this work on a Rubbermaid cooler?
A: We sell this for installation into a brew pot as a weldless assembly. This will not properly seal a Rubbermaid cooler, we do not sell any bulkheads for Rubbermaids.
Q: Can the valve and handle be subjected to direct heat and if so will the handle cover melt?
A: The handle is stainless steel with a rubber cover. the cover will melt if exposed to direct heat.
Q: How long is the nipple included?
A: The nipple included is a closed nipple, and it approx. 1 in. in length.
Q: Which size tubing would fit a 1/2in barb?
A: 1/2" inner diameter tubing, such as this ( Item Number:91-2550A ).
Q: Should the O-ring go on the inside of the kettle or the outside?
A: The o-ring should go on the inside of the pot.
Q: Can I get his with a Item Number 73-3337 instead of the barb. if so what would be the price?
A: This item would be $45.99 with the addition of the quick disconnect.
