Q: Hi. This is a Xmas - fun gift for my MD. He says, "Whisky" but never what brand or age... so each year, I get a samplier set, and saw this product in my price range for gifting. This is alcohol and not just flavorings, like a 'herbal oil kit' . Looks great, as he's never specific, and I like to game with his head. His summer bottle, I hand to him and say, "Your furniture polish, that special order Doc." Help and got any other 'fits' for a fun thank MD Xmas gift? Maggie 505 992 0126
A: This is whiskey flavoring, not actual whiskey. We do not sell any alcohol on our website only the equipment to make it.
Q: I have this kit and love the bourbon recipe. I do not need the whole kit but want to purchase the whiskey profiles B and D along with the sweet vanilla and Carmel. How can I purchase these outside of the kit??
A: Profile B-29-3546
Profile D the carmel and vanilla are not currently offered by the vendor outside the kit, as they are moving to only include these profiles within thekit itself.
Q: Hi There, I purchased a whiskey making kit for my dad. However the limited info in the book is confusing. Can you shed light on how to mix? Does it need heating do we require more utensils? A how to step by step guide example would be very much appreciated.
A: The syringe shipped with the kit is used for measuring of the product to be added into a neutral sprit with each different flavor profile mixed, using either a muddler or a spoon to mix into solution. The mixutrue does not need to be heated, but just mixed together the same as you would stirring a mixed drink together to blend the flavor profiles as reccomended in the recipe book to gain the profile your looking to achive
Q: I bought a 2 oak liter barrel is this kit what I would use in it ? Thanks
A: Typically this kit is used adding the different flavor profiles to a pre-distileld neutral spirit that can be consumed on the spot. You can mix the spirit profiles and put them into a barrel if you prefer, but the kit would not require barrel aging
