Q: Can i use the Air Still to make 70% alcohol? And if so, how. Thanks
A: this unit has capabilities to product 1 liter of 38-40% ABv spirit at 1 liter per run but unfortunately cannot obtain higher ABV percentages
Q: Do you sell a Black Replacement top as per your diagram? Thank you in advance
A: The air cooling top component is not currently available to us through the US vendor as a stand alone part
Q: Can you distill wine into Brandy???
A: This can be used to distill wine into brandy
Q: Is this legal to by in AZ?
A: The stills are legal to purchase and sell in all 50 states. The distillation process would require you to check with local authorities on the legality in your area before beginning
Q: How does it work?
A: the boiler is filled with the liquid we plan to distill. The unit is plugged in and the boiler heats the liquid, while the top part of the still recirculates cool air aroudn the vapors to condense them and collect through the outlet spout
Q: Is there a way to attach a gin head (or similar) to this still to make anything other than neutral grain spirits?
A: item 29-1011 has beer produced to use with this still for infusion spirits
Q: how much liquid will the still hold ?
A: This still has a 1 gallon boiler capacity
Q: is this Australian $ or usa
A: All pricing on our site would be in USD$
Q: I'm new to the whole fermenting and making alcohol. 1. Does this unit come with an instruction book? 2. Are we responsible to know local laws regarding distilling and if so, where can I find that information?
A: The unit would ship with instructions included. Local laws do dictate whether or not distillation is legal. Local government or state websites would have information on any potential licensing that would be needed
Q: It sounds like distilling 4L of water would take 8h. Is this safe to run unattended while you sleep?
A: It would be advised to have someone in attendance of the still while in use at all times for safety reasons
Q: If I make a wash using Still Spirits turbo yeast with 19% FG what will this unit produce in proof or ABV. The question concerns purity output not overall volume.
A: if we have a 19% product at 1 gallon going in, this should theoretically distill down to 1 liter of finished product at 60% ABV or about 120 proof
Q: What is the Alcohol by volume output of the unit?
A: The output will vary based on the ABV of the product being distilled. Generally speaking the unit can take 1 gallon of product and distill down to 1 liter of finished product
Q: Do you ship this product to India?
A: Yes, we can ship this to India. We just ask that you complete your purchase with Paypal. We also ask the customer arrange to take care of any duties or taxes for the product.
Q: what is the out put 1 hour
A: This unit will put out about a half liter of liquid in an hour. The voltage is 110. The shipping will depend on where you are located.
Q: What is the max temperature the water reaches during the distillation process in your unit? Why do you not put a temperature gauge or temperature control on the unit?
A: The unti can reach temps of boiling for distillation of water. oils and spirits. There is no controll needed since the cooling of the proruct nit he head of the still will begin to collect once the spirit or oil evaporates off. Checking proofs for spirit distillation will be the best way to contorl which alcoholos are coming through to the end product
Q: What temperature does this run at, is there any temperature control?
A: these is not currently an adjustable thermostat used on this unit and will just bring the solution inside to a rolling boil. The head of the still will collect the spirit at the temp it begins to evaporate at, and condense it down for collection outside the still
Q: Where it this manufactured, any parts or all? transparent please.
A: The product is currently manufactured in China

Q: When distilling a wash, do u need to dispose of the first part coming out (ethanol) of still ? If so how much needs to be thrown out?
A: This will vary a bit on the temp the wash is running at the the product being distilled but generally speaking the "heads' or about first 100ml should be discarded
Q: I've seen another model which comes with a glass carafe and (I think) a lower wattage heating element which is suggested best for essential oil distillation. Is this the only model you sell? Thanks!
A: Currently, this is the only 1 gallon model Air still we provide at this time
