Q: hi - what percentage of the 96oz can is water? i want to make candy with this and am trying to figure out how to adjust. and if you have a candy recipe for this, please share. many thanks in advance!
A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not say how much water is used. This product would be just black currants and just enough water to liquefy it.
Q: I'm still a little confused as to what this product is. Is it a liquid or a pureé? If it's a liquid, can you give it's volume in liters?
A: this is a pureed black current added with water to liquify it. i is a 96 fluidoz container or about 2.5-3 liters
Q: Is this also fruit puree? I notice it says fruit base and the 3 lb cans say fruit puree. I am primarily a beer brewer and this 6 lb can would be perfect for souring. Thanks.
A: Yes, this is a 96 oz can of fruit base, there is some whole fruit in there that will need to be filtered out. It can be used as a wine base or as a beer adjunct.... like the tasty sour you have planned!
